The YES Programme by BOI is Confirmed IMPACTING! – Participants

It’s been wonderful, impacting and very educative 5 days in-class training according to the first cohorts of successful applicants of the YES-Programme as they rounded up their session today. An initiation of the federal government to empower the youths through the Bank of Industry.

SME Digest visited the Lagos training center at EDC today and here is what one of the participants, Muyiwa has to say:

I want to say a big thank you to the federal government for this investment in the lives of the youth at this point in time where everything seems difficult. The YES Programme is just a perfect initiative to breed entrepreneurs and take this country to the next level. My experience from the online training, conducted by African Managers Initiative in Kenya, to the in-class training at EDC has been awesome. I have learnt a whole lot, more than enough to make my business grow in no time. EDC is a great platform. Also thanks to the almighty Bank of Industry for their support as we hope to hear from them regarding the loan soonest. Once again, thanks to this present administration.

The in-class training is been held in other centres all over the states of the federation.

Following the conclusion of the first cohorts, reports reaching us had it that participants will have to prepare their “Bankable” Business Plan which will be sent via a website provided to them, after which the process of their loan will commence.
The MD of Bank of Industry, in person of Mr Obaro Osah also gave the assurance that the loan will be ready within a period of one month after submission and clarification of applicant’s documents.
We hope to see a great improvement in the unemployment rate in Nigeria via this program soonest as it promises to financially empower 2,500 youths this year.
