This morning I asked my teenager, “What are your goals for TODAY?”
He didn’t have an answer.
I told him, “Son, it’s dangerous to live life without goals.”
“What do you mean, Dad?” he asked.
“Living your life without goals is like a small vessel without a rudder in the middle of the ocean. The “wind” is in control of the destination of the boat, NOT the captain of the boat.”
I challenged him with this question: “Are YOU in control of your day or is the day in control of you?”
In a world full of distractions, we can easily become victims of wherever life takes us. Just like a sailboat in the middle of the ocean, you better have a clear vision of the “lighthouse,” or you’ll be LOST.
