Lagos State Government Declares 14 Days Work-Free

The Governor of Lagos State, Governor Sanwo-olu in a briefing today has declared 14 days work-free for all government workers from Level one to Level twelve, starting on Monday 23rd of March, 2020. This is in line with containing the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak.

The Governor has also appealed to the private sector to encourage their staff that has no much role in their duties to abide by this policy of staying at home.

Governor Sanwo-olu has also encouraged social distancing in public places and also advised those that traveled in from foreign countries to observe a mandated 14 days self-isolation. At least not more than 50 persons should be in any form of gathering.

This restriction is already affecting so many businesses ranging from the airline companies, to the taxi drivers picking passengers at the airport, it is also affecting event planners, entertainment concerts, movie premiers and launching, importers/exporters, name it.
