This is Gary Halbert, one of the best copywriters that ever lived.
He was in a seminar once where he put forth a challenge:
“If I’m opening up a hamburger stand, what’s the most important factor to have success?”
He got a bunch of different answers like:
“It’s a secret sauce”.
“Price”.
“The quality of the burger”.
“Marketing”.
“No”, he said.
“None of those really matter if you don’t have a starving crowd.”
So that’s it.
Looking to deploy one of your business ideas? Look for the one that solves a real, painful problem. Like hunger.
If you have a hungry mob looking for what you sell, you’ll have a much higher chance of being successful.
