Hi, Abbey here.

Some days back I did a write-up on the 3 skills you need to master if you want to make more sales, and this is just a follow up and I think you should apply this in your business right away.

Selling is an art each and every SME should master, as a matter of fact, if you as the owner of the business don’t know how to SELL, it’s more like starting out something that will soon fail. One of the most important parts of selling I just want to focus on, in this article is; selling using facebook.

I keep emphasizing on selling on facebook because facebook happens to be the largest marketplace right now with over 1 billion active customers strolling daily. Now it’s left for you to understand how to separate the grain from the chaff and by that I mean, how to segregate between those that need your product/service from those that are so not interested.

In view of this; I will be giving you a summary of what you should do when selling on facebook.

First and foremost, if you don’t have a business page right now, do your business good by creating one – it doesn’t take up to 5 minutes and you’re done.

Secondly, have it in mind that you are going to be running sponsored post, or advert – no, it’s not free and it’s not bank breaking either. With as little as $5 you can run a sponsored post or advert on facebook.

Number three, master the art of running an effective facebook campaign or advert. I think I did a bit about that here also, but you can do a research on how to run facebook advert using the Facebook Ads Manager – very important!

Next, after effectively placing your ads, targeting the RIGHT audience, allow it to run for a period of time such that it has a good number of conversion. So, if you’re running on say a $5 budget daily, using engagement as your objective, when you’ve had over a thousand engagements, it’s now time to activate the making more sales opportunity which facebook provides for you freely and it’s called – LOOKALIKE AUDIENCE.

Now, here is how it works and what it actually mean.

Lookalike audience are simply the audience that are related to those that have taken one or two actions on your advert.

For example, on your advert where you have a call-to-action, like say; “Learn more” or “Shop Now” or “Send Message”, the number of people that have clicked that call-to-action, facebook will run her algorithm to fish out other similar people that are likely to click your call-to-action – those people are the lookalike audience. Likewise, if you install facebook pixel on your website, the people that have visited your website from the ads, facebook will get their lookalikes to display your advert to them.

This way you’re reaching more specific targeted audience that are likely to patronise your product/service and by so doing you’ll see your sales shoot up in no time!

And lastly, aside from the lookalike audience, you can also re-target the people that have seen your advert before. This is very crucial because in the law of marketing, it is often said that customers are likely to take action at the 5th time of seeing your offer. So, the more often they see your ads, the more convincing and reminder it sent to the prospect and you’ve got that chance to be patonised. With this few points of mine I hope I’ve been able to convince you on how to shoot-up your sales more than you did ini the last month, but it won’t work out for you if you don’t TAKE ACTION!
